4 months!!!

On Friday the babies had their 4 month check-up. The doctor was very pleased with their weight gain and growth. They are both now on the growth curves (not even adjusted for their prematurity)!!! Also at that appointment they had to get 3 more shots and an oral vaccine. They did not like that! Here are their stats:

Arianna
Weight: 11 pounds (4th%)
Height: 24 inches (36%)
Head circumference: 15.8 inches (24%)

Chase
Weight: 12 pounds, 5 ounces (5%)
Height: 24.5 inches (31%)
Head circumference: 16.5 inches (38%)

That's it for now...trying to get a quick post in here before they both wake up!

3 months!!!

How can they be 3 months old already?

The babies have been very busy this last month.

*They made their first road trip up to Grand Marais on October 15-17. They both did very well in the car and slept almost the whole way up there and back down with only taking stops in Duluth to get out, stretch, and eat!

*Chase and Ari also started grandma daycare on the 19th. So far they have only been going 2 days a week, but next week they started going 3 1/2 days.

*Chase and Ari have also started smiling a ton! They have also started "talking" and LOVE to be talked to. Ari has found her thumb to suck on and puts it in her mouth whenever she is tired. I try to substitute a nuk, but she can be a stinker and refuse to take it. Chase has also found his hands and sucks on them.

Halloween!

Chase and Arianna celebrated their first Halloween by going trick or treating to Grandma and Grandpa Weckman's house on Sunday (after baptism). I had to work late on Monday, so we decided not to bring them out on Halloween night. Instead we stayed home and handed out candy!

On Sunday, October 30th, the babies were baptized at St. Mary's Church. The babies were both very good during the whole service. They must like going to church!

2 months!!!

2 months already!?!? How has the time gone by so quickly?
The babies had their 2 month check up on October 7th. Along with that, they each had to get 2 shots and 1 oral vaccination. It was so sad hearing them cry when they got their shots :(

Here are the stats from their appointment:

Chase
Weight: 8 pounds, 11 ounces (2nd percentile)
Length: 22.5 inches (31st percentile)
Head circumference: 15.5 inches (33rd percentile)

Arianna
Weight: 7 pounds, 7 ounces (not on growth chart yet)
Length: 21 inches (6th percentile)
Head circumference: 14.5 inches (6th percentile)

The doctor was very pleased with their weight gain and growth. They are slowly getting their weight up to be where they should be. The doctor feels like they should be caught up in a few months :) They continue to eat well and have been sleeping for longer stretches at night...until this past weekend when they both wanted to eat every 3 hours! I hope its just a growth spurt and they return to going 4-5 hours between feedings at night!

They were both a lot happier for this photo shoot compared to their 1 month pictures. They even wanted to hold hands :)

This was Ari's birthday present to me on my birthday. I asked for 6 hours of sleep, but I will take this instead! Chase was smiling too, but everytime I went to take a picture, he would stop, that little stinker.
