Today we had another ultrasound for the biophysical profile and they also checked the babies growth today. Both babies weren't as cooperative today and were pretty quiet, but they both still passed the biophysical profile. Their growth looked good too. They are estimating that Baby boy is weighing around 4 pounds, 15 ounces and Baby girl is weighing around 4 pounds, 7 ounces! Its crazy to think there is almost 10 pounds of baby in there! Now I just have to make it through the weekend to get to 34 weeks to deliver at St. Francis in Shakopee.
Bed rest continues to go well. It sure was nice not having to go outside this week in all the heat and humidity! Thanks to everyone who has come over to visit. It sure does make the days go by a little faster. Thanks also to my Aunt Deb and Aunt Joan for bringing over food! It was very much appreciated!!
The plan is to continue with bed rest and medication to stop contractions until I get to 36 weeks. After that, I will stop the meds and see what happens! If I make it to 38 weeks, then the doctor will induce labor. So we are looking at another 2-4 weeks!

32 weeks!!!
No big news here. The babies and I continue to do well. We had another biophysical profile and doctor's appointment last week. This week both babies passed the test!! And they both did it in under 30 minutes! (They give each baby 30 minutes to pass all the tests: heartbeat, movements, breathing, amniotic fluid, and tone). So it was a very quick appointment. I am also measuring around 37 cm and running out of room for these babies! Hopefully they will stay put for at least another 2 weeks!

30 weeks!!!
This week we had another doctor's appointment and started doing weekly biophysical profiles on the babies. The biophysical profiles check to see how the babies are doing and if they are under any kind of stress. It checks their heart rates, fetal movements, muscle tone, amniotic fluid and breathing. Baby boy passed all the tests and baby girl almost did. She didn't want to do any practice breathing for long enough periods. She would take 2-3 breaths at a time and then stop. They want them to breathe for 30 seconds at a time. The radiologist wasn't concerned though since she did do some breathing. We go back again next week for another biophysical profile, so hopefully she does better then!!
Bed rest has been going well. Its hard sitting in bed or couch and having Chris do everything for me! I sure do get bored and stir crazy, especially when its hot and sunny outside! I have been able to get out a few times though. Chris and the kitties are great company during the day!
