Chase and Ari made the long trip up to Grand Marais to meet their new cousin Eli and to visit auntie Jeanne and Brianna!

First Easter!

The babies celebrated their first Easter by going to church on Sunday morning, followed by brunch at Grandma and Grandpa Weckman's and then went to their great aunt and uncle's house to celebrate with the Menden side of the family! It was a busy day, but they are such good babies and did very well. They were very excited about the toys the Easter bunny brought, especially their buckets, shovels, bath toys, and duckie and lamb!

8 months old!!!

*Busy, busy, busy babies! Chase and Ari are crawling everywhere!! We have now started baby proofing and putting up gates! Chase has even pulled himself up to standing in his crib a few times. I guess we will be lowering the crib mattress next!

*Ari is getting two more teeth! She is getting her middle right tooth and the one next to it. Hopefully the left one comes in soon or she will look lopsided.

* We are sleeping through the night! They both have done this several times and have even done it at the same time! Now we just have to work on taking better naps!

*Both babies love to eat! They have tried rice cereal, oatmeal, apples, pears, bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, carrots, and green beans. Chris has been making all of their food and seems to really enjoy it! 

Crawling Babies!!!

The babies started crawling! Chase is crawling on his hands and knees to get into all sorts of trouble. Ari has figured out how to pull herself on the floor doing an army crawl with her arms. We now have to start baby proofing the house!  Ari has also discovered the cats and tries to crawl after them, but they are still a little bit faster than she is :) Chase has discovered the toy bin and tv stand and also how to open the doors on the tv stand.

7 months!

What have we been up to...
*Both babies are starting to sit by themselves! They are still a little bit unsteady, so you have to stay close by, but they will both sit for a few minutes!

*Chase started blowing raspberries and Ari makes cute noises with her lips. Chase has also found his tongue and likes to stick it out to copy you.

*Both babies are very mobile. Between rolling and pivoting on their stomachs, they no longer stay in the same place where you left them. Chase has even started getting up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. I'm sure he will be crawling soon!

*Ari slept through the night from 8-7! It was only a preview of what is to come (hopefully) since she did it last weekend and has since been waking up again. Now if only Chase would do the same thing...
